Cubs winning post season awards again

Could the National League Most Valuable Player be from the Chicago cubs this season? There is strong talks that Anthony Rizzo and Kris Bryant will be in the running for the award.  Mike Montgomery said what I have been thinking when i heard about this. “I would give it to them co-MVP if it was me” When they both started to get hot at the right time, the only one in my opinion that could possible try and win the award is Corey Seager he is having a monster season for the Dodgers but do you think he is doing enough to get past the team of contenders that is known as Bryzzo?

Also could the National League CY Young award be coming to the Cubs again this season? That right it is coming down between Jake “The Snake” Arrieta and Kyle “don’t call me Farnsworth” Hendricks are the main two in the running for this award in my Opinion.

This season is shaping out to be a good season for the Cubs this year. Last season they made it to the NLCS and when it came time for the post season awards Joe Maddon and Jake Arrieta won awards for Coach of the Year and Cy young award and Kris Bryant won rookie of the year as well.

What are your thoughts on this season chances of cubs winning multiple awards this season.

NFL Blog

This week on the Relm Sports Report blog we are getting into two different topics. First topic i am going to be talking about is going to be Joe Flacco playing against the Detroit Lions since his injury that costed him last season just nine months ago.

Joe Flacco said that he will be on the field against the lions starting since sitting out the previous two preseason games since his knee surgery, Could Flacco show signs of rust in this game or will he be a glimpse of his old self before he had the knee surgery or will he be a shell of his old self with a new style to his playing.

There are Rumors flying around the NFL right now that numerous amount of teams are willing to make a play at getting Cleveland Browns Wide Receiver Josh Gordon. Despite the Browns saying they are not interested in trading Josh Gordon.

I think Josh Gordon could be the missing piece that Chicago Bears could need in their Wide Receiver corre that they are having trouble with right now during training camp. If the Chicago Bears can find a way to lure the Browns into trading Josh Gordon to them that could be a big boost to the offense because Josh Gordon is fast on the field, that speed could be what Jay Cutler need from receivers.

What are your thoughts on the Bears could make a play for Josh Gordon do you want him on the Bears or do you think he is too much of a risk to take for the Bears? Let me know on twitter at @WarriorMW23

Dodgers Trounce The Reds

The Los Angeles Dodgers routed the Cincinnati Reds via the bat of Adrian Gonzalez who went 3-6, 3 Runs, 3 HR, 8 RBI in the process of the Dodgers 18 to 9 victory in Cincinnati today.

The Dodgers winning pitcher only pitched 1.1 inning to get the victory really? I thought to qualify for a win you have to pitch 6 full innings to be consider to get the victory but Jesse Chavez gave up two hits with one strikeout during that 1.1 innings of work to get him the win in today's game.

Cubs Blog

That is right baseball fans the cubs have swept the Milwaukee Brewers with today's victory over the brewers nine to six. The cubs scored nine runs on 14 hits without causing an error. The Brewers on the other hand scored six runs on 6 hits with 2 errors in the game. Kris Bryant went on a terror going five for five with two home runs and five RBI’s the Chicago cubs have moved to 14-2 the best in august for MLB Teams. The Cubs are on a four game winning streak after losing two out of four games against the St.Louis Cardinals with today's win puts them 13 games above the cardinals in the central division, the cardinals are also on a four game win streak as well as the Pittsburgh Pirates.

18-3 over their last 21 games that is the best 21-game stretch by a Cubs team since 1945, that is amazing to me to see a state like that being mentioned by the cubs. I think the Chicago Cubs are going to do things in this year's playoffs, now the playoffs is going to be scary for me because the American League own the rights to home field advantage in the world series.

This is where the Major League All Star Game value SUCKS in my opinion because home field advantage shouldn’t be decided in an All-Star Game. Could the Major League Baseball officials please stop doing the Home field Advantage in the All-Star Game, if they want to give home field advantage it should be the team that has the best record in baseball belong to the winning league then that when you can have the advantage work. So let's say for example the Chicago White Sox decide that they can make a run for the playoffs and make it to the world series, since the American League won the All-Star Game they have the right to Home field advantage over a team that could have had the best record in baseball have home field advantage.

Tommy La Stella accepted his demotion to the minors, which is going to piss him off even more because if he would have not acted like a nog and diva he could have already been brought back up when Chris Coghlan was put on the Disabled List. La Stella was sent down to the Double A team after his refusal to accept his demotion to the Triple A team in Iowa. now he has to work back up the Iowa team before getting back up to the cubs roster. Their is still a chance that he could be brought up for the playoff roster when the playoffs start. I honestly think that the cubs might not even need him in the postseason, i would rather have another pitcher in the bullpen then having La Stella bat on the bench, even though you can say that he could be used as a pitch runner or pitch hitter in certain cases depending on the situation.

18 years for Darren Sharper

That is right sports fans former NFL player Darren Sharper is going to be drafted to a new team, the Prison League team and his contract is for 18 years for his time of Drugging and Raping up to 16 women in four different states. Now this might come off as a Joke piece by the way i am wording it, but this is serious people. It is about time that this man owns up to his crime and takes his punishment like a man.

You think the families of the victims are going to be happy to hear that he is getting 18 years for his actions? No because these women are going to have to live with the fact that they were taken advantage of by someone that the sports world looked up to. Those women are trying to move on with their lives so they can become somewhat normal again, but this court hearing might bring back the memories that they had of that night which can cause emotional toll on them again.

I have hated Darren Sharper as a player since i was a kid because he played for the Green Bay Packers which are the rivals the team i love the Chicago Bears, but now I hate him as a man because of what he did to those woman in those states. I hope he is at peace with himself and he finds god because he needs to live with his actions for 18 years behind bars.

Lebron stays in The Land

Lebron James is staying home with news breaking per espn that Lebron James is about to sign a Three Year 100 million dollar contract to stay with the cavs. Which this deal is making him the highest sign player in the NBA for the first time in his career. The salary in the first year of the deal will be $31 million, making James the highest-paid player in the NBA for the first time in his career. The salary for the 2017-18 season will top $33 million, making him the highest-paid player in a single season in league history since Michael Jordan in the 97-98 season.

Now you think this is going to be a shoo in for the cavs to repeat as the beast of the eastern conference division, well they need to watch out because the east is not the same east that it was last year because team have made changes for the better now you have to watch out for the pacers to see what they are going to do this season. Then you have teams like the New York Knicks that people are wondering if they will be able to make it to the playoffs this season with the players they have acquired in this year free agent market via trades and free agency.

NBA just announced that the Cavs and Warriors will be the christmas day game, which is going to be an nba finals rematch. Could this christmas day game be a preview of the NBA finals this early in the season.

What are your thoughts on this deal do you like this move or do you hate it, hit me up on twitter @WarriorMW23 you can also follow me on the K-Trey Show twitter at @KTreyShow.

End of an Era

This Friday will mark the last game that Alex Rodriguez will be playing as a player in the Major Leagues as a member of the New York Yankees. In a press conference on sunday Brian Cashman stated that A-Rod will stay on the team as an advisor but will retire from active competition. A-Rod is one of the last players from the 90’s decade of Major League players that i grew up watching.
With this move A-Rod is still going to be paid 27 million next year, and he is going to be paid seven million this season. When A-Rod signed with the yankees he signed one of the biggest contracts in baseball with him getting 225 million dollars also during the press conference General manager Brian Cashman confirmed that Rodriguez will receive his full salary through the expiration of his 10-year, $275 million contract.

Now that is a surprise to me because the yankees could have been using that money towards getting players to help the team try to compete to make the playoffs could this be a sign that they are not going to worry about trying to make the playoffs this season?

Trade Deadline looms

The Trade deadline is looming so here are some moves that have made news on the wire this weekend and today.

New York Mets have acquired Jay Bruce from the Cincinnati Reds for 23 year old outfielder Brandon Nimmo, this is a move that shows that the Mets are desperate to make the playoffs again after their world series appearance. Do you think this move is going to help the mets make the playoff or will they miss the playoffs this season.

Texas Rangers have Acquired Carlos Beltran from the New York Yankees for Pitching Prospect Dillion Tate and others according to multiple sources which was confirmed by ESPN. This trade deadline has proved that the Yankees are losing hope on making the playoffs this season and selling off pieces of their team that would have helped them like Andrew Miller to the Cleveland Indians and Chapman to the Chicago Cubs.

Matt Kemp has been traded to Atlanta Braves over the weekend for Hector Olivera a player that is currently under suspension MLB's domestic violence rules for allegedly beating a woman.. Why in the world The San Diego Padres stoop that low to get rid of Matt Kemp.

Washington Nationals acquired Mark Melancon from the pittsburgh pirates,  Pirates got reliever Felipe Rivero who currently has a 4.53 ERA, plus minor league lefty Taylor Hearn.

So let's see what moves are still going to happen during the trade deadline.
