Cubs rout Cardinals

Chicago Cubs Magic number is one, that is right sports fans it is not even the end of September and the cubs are the only team with a shot of clinching their division, Jon Lester and company trounced the St.Louis Cardinals 7-0 in a 3 hit shutout of the Cardinals in the midday showdown at Busch Stadium. Jon Lester is now 17-4 with today's victory. Their offense was fueled by catcher David Ross, and possible MVP candidate Anthony Rizzo with two home runs. Cubs are standing atop of the MLB Central Division at 93-52 and they are in the lead to gain home field advantage in the playoffs leading to the world series.

Up next for the Cubs is a series at home with the Milwaukee Brewers, Mike Montgomery is on the hill for the cubs while the Brewers are sending Jimmy Nelson to the mound who has a 4.42 ERA in 163 Innings pitched this season, that game will be at 7:05 central time for the first pitch.

This season has been a season that show the cubs have made the moves that they needed to get the pieces that they needed to make another postseason run this year. With adding chapman to the bullpen to solidify their closer position. This is going to be a team to be feared come the postseason, could 2016 finally be the year that the curse of the billy goat is broken?

Lyin Ryan Suspended?

U.S. Olympic Committee has suspended swimmer Ryan Lochte 10 months for his Rio gas station hijinks while the other participants received a punishment that was not as harsh as Lochte suspension was.

Okay they are saying that he is suspended for 10 months, but he is allowed to to compete? Really Olympic Committee you are going to say he is suspended but he is still allow him to compete in swimming competitions? Who was in their right mind in the IDOC and the US Olympic Committee when they came up with this punishment, to me it seems that he is not punished at all because he is still allowed to be in swimming competitions.

The whole point of his suspension was to STOP him from SWIMMING not to CONTINUE to allow him to SWIM. they also say their are other sanctions going to be added to his suspension. Give me a break they suspended Michael Phelps for four months after his two DUI arrest, but Lyin Ryan Lochte still gets to swim while he is so called “Suspended” for 10 months.

Quick NFL Preview

NFL Season  is fast approaching with a super bowl rematch of Carolina Panthers and The Denver Broncos. This rematch is going to be one sided because Cam Newton is going to be looking for a Redemption season after last year super bowl lost to the Denver Broncos. Could Denver shock the world by beating the Panthers in the season opener on Thursday?

What are games that you are hyped for the start of the regular season this year? One game that I know people are going to be watching is the New York Giants versus the Dallas Cowboys, can the Dak and  Elliott show defeat a team that has been to two super bowls? I am actually hoping that the Cowboys pull off an upset over the Giants.

The Chicago Bears versus Houston Texans is a game that I am going to have my eye on because I want to see how the new pieces that the Bears acquired over the weekend. Can the Bears defense be better than what they were showing in the pre season, will the Texans be able to torch the bears defense this sunday? I actually think the Texans are going to pull off the victory against the bears, unless Cutler has a phenomenal performance this weekend.
